Flow ist ein häufig verwendeter englischer Begriff für Durchfluss und steht für eine Messgröße einer Menge eines fließenden oder strömenden Mediums. Flow kann sich dabei auf das Volumen (l/s) oder die Masse (kg/s) beziehen. Siehe auch Flowmeter.
Statt eines Mediums (water flow) kann auch etwas Immaterielles z.B. Energie (heat flow) strömen. In der Geothermie spielt beides gleichermaßen eine Rolle, wobei Wärme sowohl unabhängig von einer Fluidströmung (Konduktion) transportiert werden kann, oder mit einem strömenden Fluid zusammen (Konvektion).
